So my best friend started shooting heroin about 8 months ago. It was a shock to all of us, so he went to rehab, got out, started banging out again, then went back to rehab. He’s been clean ever since but has been going to the Methadone clinic every morning like clock work, he has my full support but we got in a fight the other day because I tried to tell him he was still a fiend. I mean he’s obviously addicted to Methadone and he said his milligram was really high, so he still gets faded like he was shooting dope.

Is it wrong me to still call him a fiend???

feel like my life is so boring when im not on any type of drug at all its horrible i smoke pot during the week everyday actually and then the major durgs come in on the weekend im only 17 and this is want i think about /look forward to ever weekend when im sobar all i think about is getting drugs
last weekend was the worst binge i have had yet i did methadone,pot,opium,shrooms,coke and vicodin all within the hour and was up on all the **** for 3 days and havnt felt completley normal since i dont know if i should be concerned about the way i have been feeling but even the next weekend knowing i still didnt feel all there i did some extacy weed and coke and i added to the feeling of being totally out of it what should i do i cant stop thinkin about getting ****** up all the time i even planned on doing it this weekend even tho i know i shouldnt i cant convince myself not to
please help me i dont want to go to rehab or anuthing i just wanna be able to have fun but be able to stop when i want and not have it control my whole life what should i do is my life being setup for failure?

Question by Katherine: Is it normal to stop menstruating while on methadone?
I have been doing the methadone program for a little over two months now (got my first carry today, yay!) I’m recovering from oxycontin and dilaudid addiction. Anyways, I haven’t had a period since the first week of august and it is now mid october. I am slightly underweight, but always have been for most parts of my life. (I looked up my bmi today just to figure shit out and its 17.9) I had been overeating at the beginning of the year and gained twenty pounds, and when I started eating normal I lost more weight than I wanted to and can’t gain any back now for some reason. But I’ve never had a problem menstruating at this weight, its been the same mostly for the last five years, as it is quite natural for my frame and genetics. So I’m wondering, is it the methadone or the sudden weight loss? And when should I be expecting it to come back? Will it come back when my body gets used to the methadone for longer or gets used to being my usual weight again? If I could get a doctor, nurse or someone who’s experienced this to give a detailed answer of what I should expect that’d be great.    Read more...

My cousin is a major drug addict and is trying to get off of heroine so they are giving her methadone treatments. My family was just told that my cousins money is running out now to still recieve her methadone injections and that if she doesnt get the money to still take her methadone treatments then she is going to die. I know nothing about drugs or understand any of it so if my cousin can not get the money to pay for her injections will she really die and why will this cause her too die? My mother is the one who told me this and dont know alot of information on all of this or why they say she could die from this so if someone knows any information on any of this please let me know. im taking 5mg of methadone 3 times a day to get off of vicodin. I am not taking any vicodin at all. . . just the methadone. People keep telling me how dangerous it is, but im only taking 15mg in one day, 5mg morning, 5mg afternoon and 5mg at night.

I hear so much about how dangerous it is, but really at a low does like this i should be fine, right? u guess um just asking since im new to taking it.
