I was at about 100mg and took some Xanax a bottle of wine. Had done this a million times with no ill affect but this time was different. Fell asleep and when I awoke I couldn’t see. Made it to an emergency room and found out that I had a stroke. Methadone was a ball n chain for me. A few years clean in a 12 step program helped me when I kicked Methadone. I had? been on it for 6 years maxing out at 150mg. It’s hard to find help as detox for MD tougher then heroin. Faith in God got me thru. FAITH!
yea man Im recovering addict 15yrs was in clinic for around 6yrs, now on subutex for around 6mths, and I still have withdrawel symptoms on top of the benzos? i take, the subutex helps a little but after all ive done to my body, its gonna take awhile to feel better, thats if I EVER feel better
I cried in agony as I watched this video. My brother died of a deadly cocktail of 1xanax and 1 methadone tablet on May 17, 2005. We live? with the pain of no longer being able to see his face or hear his voice. He was made an addict at the hands of physicians. Don’t be next in line. Rest in peace baby brother..I love you.

Doesn’t anyone have enough sense to use narcan?! It reverses the effects of methadone! If a “doctor” doesn’t educate himself about methadone, he has no right to prescribe it.? There is no excuse for a person dying while hospitalized because of a methadone overdose! The doctor, not the drug is the culprit!
I am so sorry for the loss of all the loved ones. Methadone maintenance clinics that prescribe it for addicts have been around for over 50 years now. They were and still are strictly regulated. Until pain clinics began prescribing methadone, there were very few methadone deaths. I would like to see all pain clinics that prescribe methadone shut down. I’m tired of the medication that saved? my life being misused and abused and getting such a bad reputation.
your very lucky you survived….my fiance and countless other also took it EXACTLY as prescribed and weren’t so lucky….my fiance was actually in a hospital? at the time of his death and there was no saving him

i am on 55mg of meadone i have now been on this for 4 years i am dreading the withdrawl but ever time i want to reduce it the doctor will not let? me i dont no what to do!
Methadone is more addicting than heroin. I don’t get it; if you are trying to come? clean from heroin, why would you take something more addicting. I was prescribed methadone and I refused to ingest it. I cleaned up cold turkey and I feel that way was a better alternative than methadone. I have been clean now for 18 years.
Please, for those on methadone no matter the dosage there are other options I promise. It’s been over 2 years now since our daughter was prescibed methadone as a pain pill by a negligent doctor & killed her. Wake UP we learned the most painful truth by the death of our daughter.Pharm? How? 200mg is high. it must’ve took a while (safe taper) im at a clinic, at 70 at the moment. I want to be off within a month (they say 1mg/day is MUCH.) this wknd i missed Sat, they give take-homes for Sun.) and to anybody who’s clean? for 3 months, a bottle every 3 months u are clean. (that means nothing except things RX’ed to you by a Dr.) so I went by with 70…wasnt too fun, but not a biggie. I go back tmw morning. I want to speak to the Dr their and get off ASAP :/ Im 25
My brother was taking 20 percoces daily 10 to 20? methadones and all sorts of stuff every day. He died of blood poisoning called sepsis. Sorry.

I take 10mg 4 times day. Serious back injury. I hate that it hurts to come off this stuff. Brother, Dad died over methadone. I’m married.I know it’s from back pain. The doctors say I take a very low? dose so I’m safe. I also take Tambocor for prior cardiac arritmyias, Klonopin for myoclonus. Atenelol. Do I continue to seek relief in the same way, whereas the surgeons what a morphine injector in back. Fentynyl don’t work. Percocet was better 10mgs. What do I do. I’m scared.
for anyone who does not believe that methadone kills you are blind. in 27 years i have lost at last count 48 friends and aquaintances. it was invented by the nazis for crying out loud. ive been clean for almost five years now since the death of my beloved wife. by clean i mean NO drugs. watch out for my video on how i stopped. doctors would not help me to reduce so i had to break the law to get clean. where is the justice ? where is? this so called help they offer. they dont want you to stop.
No kidding scragamuffn, that’s why they call the treatment methadone maintenance. No one is fooled into thinking that using methadone means that they’re “clean.” It is merely another, better option than using? expensive street drugs which can lead to death or even more vile things like beating up an 80 year old granny for her purse.
