my emotions come in waves now.at first i had none.now they are almost unbearable.i had lost my mother to cancer while in full withdrawal in 2009.i hardly felt it.then in september? last year i lost the woman i loved more than anything in life.she left me.because i am unable to do anything.because of the drug withdrawal.so she saw we wouldnt have a life together that would go anywhere.now i am in such pain everyday.from these things.i have lost the two people that meant everything to me.

You wrote “at least I have my emotions back”. This is a sign of your recovering, no doubt. It takes lots of time for the body to rebuild itself, in some instances years even, but the improvement will keep happening. Neuroplasticity is one of the most powerful tool our bodied have.

Ive just come across a word that describes what i am still going through, anhedonia, even though ive been off seroxat for three years now, and it took 4 years to very slowly withdraw from 40mg. I just thought oh never mind life changes things cant always be the same. I tell people that i cant find? my zest for life, nothing makes me excited anymore, things i used to love doing mean nothing to me, dont want to leave the house, at one time i could not stay in for a day it would drive me crazy.
