Carrie asked:
I am wondering what the side effects could be if a person who was perscribed and regularly took methadone were to also take dilaudid(unprescribed) mixed with a box of wine. Please no jokes I know it is so ridiculous it’s funny but I am trying to help a friend.
I am trying to get him to realize that his lifestyle is causing him the pain that he is complaining about. After he got the dilaudid, when it wore off he had terrible leg pain and went into the hospital for days. Only to get prescribed more dilaudid. I was really hoping the doctors would set him straght about his health issues but they did not. He is now in a wheel chair and no doctor has been able to figure out what is wrong with him.

hey culligan man asked:
I have 5 herniated discs and was on hydrocodone for a few months and recently they have not been helping. When I discussed this with my doctor he prescribed methadone. The only thing I can find on the internet is how it is used to wean people off of heroin. What am I getting myself into? The hydrocodone gave me a euphoric feeling, but no other side effects. What can I expect from the methadone 5mg?

thanks in advance for your answers! i was addicted to oxycontin, heroin, and general pain killers for about six years. i decided to turn my life around and i went to the methadone clinic, however i was tired of being a junkie and i decided to begin taking suboxone in an effort to kick everything once and for all. i read excellent reviews about how this drug has saved people’s lives who abused opiates, and i am confident it will be right for me. however, i did not ask my doctor about the interaction with my other medication and he is obviously not in his office anymore today and i am starting to have a slight withdrawal type ache. i took only two milligrams earlier today which is probably not enough, i just was not sure how it would interact with me. i take klonipin (.5 mgs t.i.d.) and primidone (mysoline, 50 mgs b.i.d.) for anxiety and panic disorder. does anyone have any experience with this medication? if so, i would appreciate your input very much
also, should i feel like i am loaded while on this? i was expecting it to be different from methadone… but i still feel that loaded kind of feeling if that makes any sense…?
thanks all!
thanks very much for your answer, and i appreciate you being judgmental toward people because some folks need a good brow-beating. however, i started on opiates because of pain. i have five tears in my left rotator cuff and continuously dislocate and tear up my right shoulder (i used to bodybuild fairly heavily and i did three years in the service). problem was docs didnt want me to get addicted (whoops too late) and heroin was a good escape since it is so much cheaper than oxycontin. i have gone through plenty things in my life… i appreciate any answer but i was really asking about the possible poor interaction of suboxone and klonipin or primidone. thank you again!
