My clinic has issued me a photo id and are willing to give me a letter stating I have been a 1 day a week pickup patient for many years , model patient , etc. should I tell the lab this or keep quite . I am proud of my recovery! I had been employed by my company for 13 years , but was released due to downsizing. This job means a lot , I need help I couldn’t speak to my counsel she was out today . help please!

We’ve been trying to concieve a baby for about a year now. We’ve had one miscarriage. but no luck having one yet. My husband goes to a clinic and is on methadone. No one can tells us if it is the methadone that is causing us not to be sucessful in getting pregnant. Does anyone know if that could be the problem? Does methadone cause infertility?

And he is not a junkie or an addict. Don’t Judge cause you do not know us. We will make great parents. We both have full time jobs and can support our child when we finally get pregnant. My wife and and I have a rare and unusual opportunity to adopt a child.
The circumstances are very complex and somewhat disturbing.
The mother has been charged with several crimes. It appears she will be going to prison and has voluntarily agreed to give up the baby.
The alleged crime were drug related and she was addicted to heroin when she had the baby. Since it;s birth it was necessary to have the baby on methadone to re leave the symptoms from it’s addition. Information we are getting is that it is fine, off the medication, and appears to be all well. We have been contacted by a close friend of the mother who has informed her of our situation and the mother is already prepared to allow us to foster the baby until the adoption is complete. This will be the second child the mother has had to give up. This will be our first child.
We know of the first child…..it seems to be healthy, and appears to be doing great in the new home. To further complicate this situation, we just got this news several days ago and the mother wants us to come to her by this weekend so that she can personally hand us her child.
We want a child, yet under these circumstances our concerns are numerous. We would like some feedback, advise, or any input you care to share in regard this. Thank you and God bless you!

My husband and I just started last month trying to conceive. we are afraid we wont be able to because he is on high doses of Methadone. It is now the 15th and no period. my last started on Aug 21st. only symptoms are really tired and urinate more not sorness thou. what are my chances and should i test now?

We have learned a great deal about recovering from narcotic addiction and have found several methods that work well. This is information drug treatment programs would not want out since it would cause them to lose a large number of patients. Would it be better to start with a blog or a website? We eventually hope to make this into an alternative business that would help people get of methadone clinics. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as there is a dire need for this information.
