I found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago. I was on the pill and taking it properly so I guess I was one of those 1% that was cursed. I went to a Methadone clinic and was told I had to go to an OBGYN to get a note saying I needed methadone. I take up to 100 mg of OC per day and now I am taking about 180 mg per day. I thought it was OK for pregnant women to take methadone and they couldn’t just turn you away. Plus, they said they wouldn’t admit me b/c they could not admit my husband b/c his habit wasn’t great enough to be treated iwth methadone. We don’t necessarily want to keep the baby b/c I have a plethora of mental and physical ailments but abortions are $600 and we can’t afford it. I’m not sure what to do here. And yes, I know, I’m a horrible person, you don’t have to tell me, I already know.
