Looking for doctor to prescribe Methadone?

Does medicaid cover this type of thing? Maybe you could apply for financial assistance. Or, perhaps you could see another doctor and talk to him about short term treatment with sedatives in pill form. At some point, you’ll have to come off the methadone – may as well be now. At least if you’re taking something to prevent a hardcore detox, you may not feel as desperate.

You need help…methadone is BAD…my friend took it now can’t get off it,please get help.

just get off the meth. it’s just a crutch. kudos for getting off dope, i went through it in pittsburgh and it took me 2 trips to rehab and a 7 month stay in a halfway house.

hey guy or girl,
i am looking for the same thing, except i am in orange county.
i havent been able to find one so i have gone back to using heroin.
now everyone, dont lecture me… ive been to rehab 3 times and done the medical detox 5 times.
i have a doc to write me rx’s for suboxone, but i hate the suboxone, it has the naltraxone in it and you cant have a glass of wine or take any other meds while taking it, wich i do take other meds and thats more expensive than methadone or oxycontin for that matter.

Well…..a better solution would be to stop doing both heroin and methadone. Most doctors don’t know that there is little to no withdrawel from either…..but you know it. If you don’t want to pay the price for drug use, be it the $20/day you pay for it or all the things in your life you traded so that you could do drugs, then simply stop doing it. The worst you will experience is a week of mild flu like symptoms.

Drug use isn’t a disease, it’s just something a person chooses to do. If you don’t like the results of that choice, then simply choose differently.
