Would the following medications/drugs cause a man to NOT be able to preform in bed?

Seraqual
Methadone
Benadryl
or former use of Heroin

Question by Kate: Brother’s gf is prejudiced against me becuase I’m mentally ill?
I moved in with my brother because living with my parents was understandably driving me crazy. After a week his gf came to stay for 3 weeks before moving for grad school since her family had just sold her home and left. I understood that I would need to let them have their alone time but figured that spending the weekend my brother was gone together would be fine. The rest of the time I’d spend back home w/ my parents.

Despite knowing what a huge benefit living with my brother is for me she told my bro that she didn’t want me there because I’m on a medication (suboxone) which her mother did not do well on psychology and took for a different reason. I am taking it temporarily as an opiate replacement therapy (like methadone) till I can become more independent. She should know that anecdotal evidence (her mom’s response) is unnacceptable in judging a drug’s side effects, she’s an environmental engineer and not dumb.    Read more...

Question by : Why is my Methadone not lasting the full 24 hours, all of a sudden?
K well, i’ve been on methadone for a couple years now. During the last 2 years i’ve been going through a cocaine addiction. I went up to 90 mls of methadone. I sat on that dose for about a year than i started to go down all the way to 60 mls. Two months ago I finally got clean from cocaine. Once i was clean for 3 weeks I felt like I had to go up 5 mls. So now im sitting at 65. For the past week i’ve been waking up at 5 am with really bad hot and cold sweats. I feel like I wanna crawl out of my skin. I know its withdraws. I usually have to be at the pharmacy to pick up my dose as soon as it opens cuz its so bad. Why am I all of a sudden getting this problem. Ive been on it for so long without going through this. Is it because im clean from cocaine now? Im 24 years old. Maybe my body is going through major changes? Does anyone know more about this. I was thinking of splitting my dose in 1/2 and take one 1/2 in the am and the other later on that day. Good idea maybe?    Read more...

I drink 90mg dihydrocodeine for severe fibro pain every 6 hours. Way too much? Anyone found benefit from methadone and who should I ask?

1. Is your dihyrocodeine prescribed by a licensed doctor (M.D., D.O., or a physician’s assistant) ?
2. Are you taking the prescribed amount?
3. Can you quit – or are you hooked?

I assume with you taking methadone you are seeing a Pain Management Dr. If not you should. I also have severe fibro pain plus other physical problems which renders me chronic pain. I don’t know that much about methadone, except that it is the last ditch med for chronic pain,and is even more addictive than others,so I’m guessing you have already tried Oxycontin,Roxicodone,Avanza just a few to mention, if not ask your Specialist to try these, unless your tolerance is so high. Tell your Dr. you think this is too much, don’t just keep taking that much. I’m concerned that where do you go from here for pain management, GOOD LUCK to you hon. I feel your pain but think you may want to switch to a Dr. who is really looking after your best welfare….    Read more...
