Can a Pharmacy Technician take a methadone detox order over the phone and give to a Pharmacist for dispensing?
I work at a County Jail and there is a methadone schedule II drug detox program for the immates.The Pharmacy Technician are instructed to call methadone clinics to get the last dose of the patients so that a Pharmacist may start to detox the patient.My question is can a Pharmacy Technician take a methadone last dose order over the phone from a clinic and give it to a Pharmacist to start administering on a detox program.

I need help finding a rehab for methadone detox with no insurance?
I just started a new job that dosent offer insurance. im desperatly trying to get of Methadone because its holding me back and i cant afford it. Is there any rehab that will take me in with no insurance and little money up front. I live in Nashville TN but it dosent have to be here.

Is there an easier methadone detox?
Ive recently opened up to someone close, and found out that they are trying to go thru a methadone detox. By the way he describes it, theres nothing worse With technology today, there has to be an easier less expensive way to help him He doesnt want to be at this substances' mercy any longer. Methadone detox question ?
I just completed a 7 day detox from methadone at a behavioral ward at the hospital.But know that I'm home I still feel kind of sick, headache ,nausea and a general sense of flu symptoms.Will this go away soon,I drink alot of water and took vitamins too.I worked hard at this and I want to fell better

Methadone Detox Help?
I have been on 80mg of methadone for about a year now...i live in jersey and am moving out of state so i wanted to detox before i made the move..they have me going down 2mg per day at the clinic i go to...Today i took 48mg...i am not feeling horrible but not great either...basically i have two questions. Is there anything i can take to help the detox period go more smoothly? and After I've taken my last dose how long until i feel normal again??

Methadone detox, (Withdrawal) is a very difficult and depreessing experience for even the strong. NO insults?
How long would it take till I felt normal again after consistantly taking 100mgs of methadone daily, stopping cold turkey?Please dont insult or give stupid answers. I really need some meaningful help. I've had all the insults and suggestions and I'm not an idiot. If anyone knows or has experience, let me know.

i hope someone can help my boyfriend just got kicked off his methadone clinic and he is trying to kick it cold turkey. hes coming down off of 60 mg and its been about 5 days now. is there ANYTHING he can take to help make the pain and withdrawel symptoms less intense? thanks

Methadone detox struggle?
I have been on methadone maint. for 4 years due to a hydrocodone addiction that was prescribed for spinal fusion operation that failed.I was in severe withdrawal one day from running out of Vicodin,and in total desperation I enrolled at the methadone clinic for a dose of 40 mg. to get me out of what was a hellish,sickness that was unbearable at the time.So fast forward 4 years later and I have gradually and painfully lowered my dose from 85mg. to 31mg.Even lowering 1mg a week is difficult.I seem to get sick before my dose is due.I tried Suboxone,that was weak and didn't work.Rapid detox has been a idea to consider,but lately I hear horror stories about deaths and clinics being sued.Has there been any news about other treatments lately?Or can you share your treatment if any?

Methadone Detox while pregnant?
My sister was prescribed methadone for severe sciatica and became pregnant. Her dose was 35 mgs when she got pregnant after birth control failure.She decided to keep the baby and slowly detox, and is now 16 weeks preg and down to 16 mgs. She has a few aches and pains but nothing serious at all, but is under stress. As this med is also for heroin addicts, she's nervous about how people will treat her, plus really doesn't have too many people to talk to. Has anyone out there detoxed from this medicine while pregnant?

Methadone detox while pregnant? Been there?
I will ask again, because people aren't understanding. I was violently attacked at 22 years old and would up using heroin to dull the memory. I sought therapy, got on a meth clinic. I was detoxing off meth after returning my life to normal and doing some serious mental house cleaning. I was down to 35 mgs when my husband and I got pregnant. To most meth clients, 35 mgs is a laughable dose, the usual dose is like 130 mgs. I have decided NOT to abort, but to place my faith in the Lord and continue my VERY SLOW detox. I am now 8 weeks pregnant and at 26 mgs, with about 9 weeks left on the detox. I disagree with current thought that it is safer for ALL pregnant methadone patients to stay on meth because they might relapse while pregnant if they detox. Scientifically, the risk of miscarriage is low for slow detoxes, as long as you hold if you experience discomfort until body adjusts, it does w in a week . I have miscarried before, it sux, but the alternative is worse.Basically, due to the current atmosphere of myths and ignorance, if I " report" my pregnancy to my clinic, they might try and keep me on meth and why shouldn't they I give them 3 grand a year . I have NO ONE to turn to, and I am looking for someone who has done this to offer advice I do not believe that having a drug addicted baby is in the best interest of the child, and I have faith in God that all will go as it is meant to. A doctor friend confidentally advised me that I am following the TRUE best course of action. I also REFUSE to give birth with some baby stealer from CPS at the hospital, no woman unless she's strung out or mentally ill should be so humiliated. I need to know where to turn for real guidance and support, not foolish rants from people who have never been there PS this is NOT a RAPID DETOX. Totally different. Most people detoxing the way I am, once they are 100 % sure they want off meth, experience a very minimal primary withdrawl and little to no secondary withdrawl. It is more mental than physical. They body gently adjusts to producing more of its own dopamine every time you drop in dose

i am currently detoxing from methadone through a clinic i was 80mgs went to 40,30,25,20,and now 15 i thought i would be able to stop at this point but to just go through one day is hard.i'm trying to do it the right way and my counsler warned me that doing it to fast is no good iwent down within a month and a half and although i was ok til i got to 15 no sleep,restless legs and just plain a nasty person to be around how in the world am i ever gonna do this.i get alot of slack from my partner he is highly against this and i feel it saved my life and made it possible for me to have mt twin girls.now i don t even no what i'm asking here i guess do you ever feel normal again its been so long to just be on nothing i forgot what that feels like.i would like to have that natural energy again,but on the otherhand i'm afraid to go bck 2 drugs.any positive advice for me?i need help...
