Methadone has been getting a rap.I don’t think people should be referring to it as “meth”.it? just doesnt sound good!Doctors are shying away from prescribing it for pain now.When doc’s prescribe it for pain only normal dosages are are 30-50mgs.when used for addiction doses usually never go below 60mg’s,because methadone is an opiate blocker when you are on atleast 60 mg’s thats the starting dosage,if you go below this dosage you can feel other drugs/opiates.so thats why clinics will go up on dose
I think the Methadonia documetary gives an unrealistic view of methadone clients/clinics.I have been going to a? clinic for a year now.@ my clinic you cannot be over 80 mg’s of methadone if you are on benzos!I take 80mgs of methadone and a half a mg of xanax 3 times a day!I do not get high,nor do i nod off.I think most clinics are getting much stricter about mixing meds,and I think thats the way it sould be!
