Don’t be scared. If he’s a maintenance patient he likely has the answers to any questions that you may have. If you’re that worried most clinics will have support group where family members and loved ones can attend and address their concerns with the treatment. People who die from taking methadone are usually people who take methadone that hasn’t been prescribed? to them, as opposed to long term maintenance patients..

My husband, who worked in maintenance counseling for around a decade 20 years ago, has seen hard line addicts go down from an introductory dose, which is usually anywhere from 15-30 mls.

I have seen people from our clinic that have taken it for years and years and taken extra by dipping into their take home carries and then suddenly up and die just because they were dipping a little too much. My sister? just went to sleep feeling fine and never woke up

You might want to talk to your clinic doctor, hottie, you can die from taking methadone as prescribed, in fact you would have been clearly warned of that possibility when you started your methadone maintenance treatment.
Methadone is a fantastic tool to help get off of other opiates but it does have risks and people giving the wrong impression that those risks don’t exist? are highly irresponsible.
no doubt I’m on the clinic 2yrs this month and I’m doing fine it changed my life like I couldn’t beleave so show the people that are on methadone and doing fine theres alot?
i am on methadone it works great 4 me and as long as you take it just how you are told to you can’t die from just that!!!! ppl need to stop makeing the drug look so? bad!!!!
