Ibogaine, like any other attempt to get clean, is only effective if the addict is in the mindset to quit. That’s part of the “trip”. I’d hate to go through Iboga treatment knowing the whole time that I was only giving lip service to the people I love in telling them I wanted to get clean. That would be a “bad trip”. most anyone should be quite pissed off when a treatment that is a absolute Scam is targeted at addicts and most times the addicts loved ones who cover the costly bill. Its quite sad when you see people go? for this so called cure and weeks later they are back in detox,on methadone or strung out again.

Ibogaine didn’t work for my ex. 3 trips to Pangea in Mexico for opiate, benzo & ETOH addictions failed. He cont. to use, going from one substance to another. It just got worse, not better. I think ibogaine makes you feel good initially, for a few days, but I didn’t see a change in behavior.? Ibogaine doesn’t lend itself to sobriety. Go to a reputable program. Embrace that you need hard work to get better. Going to a resort in Mexico that promotes hallucinogens won’t work in the long run.
MY POINT ? They market this Bogus miracle cure for addiction not to everone becasue God knows inner city addicts who have nothing would never be able to afford this Skam, No they market it to Rich and Upper Middle class parents not addicts who are stressed out and at there wits end and just hoping, wishing, Praying that there kid stop this cycle of Addiction. It must be some slap? in the face when they pay 10 k + and a month later after getting back little Johnny is strung out again !
