Man, no one way is effective for everybody, but I’m sure it helps for some. So if they haven’t tried it, it is basically a short acting bloodpresssure med that has some calming effects. But I’ll tell u, about 20-30 other addicts including myself that are in a group think it sucks balls & doesn’t do shit. At least for people who have taken pkers for a long period of time. If anything, it should be one of several meds to take if ur gonna go that route.? But, everyone’s different & clonidine may hp

  • missqueenbean420:

Maybe you should do a methadone short term program. It’s 2 week and they lower your does. It’s the crash program. If you really have pain , and you just don’t do it to get high, go to a pain clinic and you can get weed pills to that help and they are not addictive. You shouldn’t be stoned though if it’s for pain. The drug should go to the pain first so you really don’t get noddy.? I know it’s been years now but I’m guessing it’s same shit different year. I hope you have figured things out.

can i get off methadone? and find smart doctor to switch me to morphine like babys. i dont abuse and morphines healther. sence? morphines from the plant and methadone is not its made in a lab. is this a good idea? msg my account thanks

  • carol mills:

and I never had a problem with it thank god, and I’ll probably go back on it because so far the medicines I’ve been trying hasn’t really helped with the pain so I’ll have to talk with my doctor about it and he’s already said if he can’t find another medicine that can help stop the pain he will put me back on it but he’s hoping he won’t have to which I am to because I already have enough medical problems I don’t need? my heart messed up also

  • carol mills:

Wow it’s crazy what Methadone withdrawals can do to you, I’m 23 now and I started taking Methadone for back pain at 13, and just switched? to a different narcotic because my pain doctor doesn’t want it to effect my heart which is a possibility, but if he can’t find a medicine that will help with the pain I’ll be going back on it, and before I got on it I was put on so many different pain killers and none worked except Methadone, so I definitely think its a good pain killer at least for myself, a

  • Njchik81:

Wow this video is real. I’m a long? term opiate addict currently go n through suboxone w/drawl. I can relate so much. I’d like to say thank u for telling your story&the truths behind opiate abuse. Hope your feeling well

  • c4tze:

dude if i knew you earlier id sent you a strap of halcion. makes you to fully sleep through detox. once my doc switched from hydromorph to oxy what caused detox on? me. ive got a big tolerance anyways but the halcion made me just fell asleep or turn into a zombie for a week and when i turned normal again i was fully normal, attracted to oxy, adjusted painstyptic, pain free.

  • ods1ODS:

clonidine is a lil inconsistant for me. at times iv had it help considerably but for? the more severe wd’s like heroine and then suboxone was not very helpful. definately worth trying though.

  • rdbn25:

yeah i understand that there is a withdrawal from that, but at least you will be under Doctor supervision? and be weaned off so it’s not as bad.

  • mobiusstrip01:

…re:suboxone–yeah, and then there’s the hell of finally coming off THAT stuff…every bit as bad as methadone for me, except one wicked additional withdrawal symptom–no sleep for over two weeks running till they had to commit me to a 5150 ward and jack me full of? ativan and haldol to knock me out (the trazedone they had been using at the treatment ctr. wasn’t coming close to putting me to sleep).

  • rdbn25:

Well you do have a very good point. If you don’t have insurance your pretty much fucked.? Most office visits cost between 150-350 then clonidine will cost about another 20 dollars or something. The real shit though is the suboxone. Without insurance that shit cost about 575. What a joke

  • mobiusstrip01:

when you’re slammed by this stupid recession and you’ve lost your insurance, you don’t just waltz in to the dr.’s office, y’know? we have a million and one things we need to spend money we don’t have on ahead of my “comfort” in withdrawal. this is the ONE SITUATION where i am NOT happy to be in the US (vs. UK or even canada w/universal state health care)…because the dr doesn’t HAVE to be especially skilled-just need to get me thru w/d, or better yet, just treat the cause? of my PAIN!

  • rdbn25:

I understand, but clonidine should not be something hard to get there hands on. I mean besides from going to the doctor and telling him whats going on? what else do you have to do??

  • mobiusstrip01:

not? everyone CAN get hold of clonidine or anything else. at one point i had ativan and chloral hydrate, together which provided some pretty fair relief…but no more.

so i suffer through it now. semi-regularly.

  • rdbn25:

For the people that are using opiates at a regular basis why dont you get some clonidine to help with the withdrawls? I mean it knocks? out about 80% of the side effects.
